Pleasantly surprised at how fast our meals arrived, less than 10 minutes after ordering and while coffee was still hot. King prawn omelette and Brekky bowl were both delicious and generous portions. Staff were good and of course the location is lovely, right opposite the water. This is our second visit (last time was 5 years ago) and very happy with everything. Would highly recommend!
The breakfast was amazing and served quickly. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Extremely large meals for the price. The staff were super friendly and truly couldn't be faulted.
It was our second time there after 3 years and it was still lovely. This time we had breakkie, scrambled eggs with a huge avo side, the bread was nicely toasted. And a big cheesy omelette (yes, we also guessed how many eggs they needed to use) with bacon side, always with coffee and a choc thick shake this time. We love when our thick shake is served with cool glasses. It was the best one we tried for a long time. They also offer lunch and have a large menu with plenty of options. Staff has always been nice and accommodating. We also could enjoy the views to the pier and lovely birds where we seated.
This has become my new local for breakfast. You need to book as this place is always busy. The food and coffee is great and the service is excellent. I had Corn fritters and couldn't finish it. I've had the pancakes too, and they are delicious. Highly recommend this place.
We visited Salt for breakfast on our way out of town. We booked a table ahead of time (which I highly recommend). When booking, I requested a high chair for our infant daughter, and upon arrival, the staff member brought one over and wiped it down in front of us — a small but thoughtful touch that was much appreciated. We ordered via the QR code at our table, which was convenient and easy to use. The meals arrived quickly and were delicious. The eggs Benedict was excellent — the sauce was creamy and full of flavour. I added avocado on the side, which was fresh and perfectly ripe. Another member of our group ordered the bacon and eggs and received a very generous portion of bacon — plenty to share and still have leftovers. The only downside was the price of the toast — $9 for two slices of white bread felt a bit steep, especially as it was mainly for our infant daughter. A special mention to the lovely older lady who seated us and was serving tables. She was incredible — constantly on the move, managing orders, seating customers, and helping others who couldn’t use the QR code system. She’s an absolute asset to the team and worth every penny.
Very delicious breakfast, portion sizes are large and take-home boxes are available. The corn fritters legitimately were delicious - I thought they would be frozen reheated pre-made. But they looked and tasted freshly handmade. Great views of Urangan beach and the pier.
Busted several times & each time found the staff helpful, friendly & engaging. Breakfast choices plentiful & delicious. Lunch time menu was great too! We even had a cheeky wine. We're actually moving to Hervey Bay, so this will be our go to.
Always a fantastic experience at Salt Café. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, coffee is perfectly brewed, smoothies are amazing and the service is consistently warm and friendly. Highly recommend!
The food was fantastic, fresh and delicious, asked for crispy bacon which melted in my mouth! Coffee was great and service was friendly and warm! Would drive here for the food alone!
Great food and fresh ingredients! Shout out to Aldo for trying to help out with a particular request regarding my dietary requirements - we overheard the crew chewing him out about it but he still returned to our table with an explanation as to why the order couldn't be done, and a smile. Everything was well presented and tasty, table service was good considering their bussyness, and our orders were prompt. Very nice birthday brunch for me, and my breakfast still tasted good when I reheated it at home 😊 Only thing they could've done better was the table presentation before we sat, as there were crumbs and tomato sauce on the surface and 'reserved' sign. I definitely recommend booking a table though because they are quite popular for breakfast!
